Elegant. Pouring the water from a horse trough on your head on a hot day and refilling your water bottles from the same trough.  Having your horse slip and fall in a deep water crossing and getting drenched.  Getting mud splattered on you as your riding partner (in front of you) throws mud in your face as they canter out the back side of a mud puddle.  Using the woods as a bathroom on trail.   Riding in the pouring rain.  Doesn't that all sound elegant?

A list actor.  Maybe William Shatner since is actually a quite accomplished rider.
