[RC] saddle rubs - Carolyn Burgess

It doesn't just happen with Specialized Saddles.  This is a problem with many stirrup leathers.  It happens with my Synergist DSS English Endurance Saddle, but not with my Collegiate Senior Event or my Wintec Dressage Saddle.  I've been told to run the leathers under the flap but that is very uncomfortable and limits flexibility on a longer flap saddle.

I wonder what it is about the International that is causing the rubbing?

Fleece stirrup covers and half chaps are going to be needed to remedy this.  I have this same problem and both were needed to somewhat solve the problem.

Sarena didn't say in her post, but her rubs are on the shin where the stirrup leathers come down.
I have the same issue, and it can be rather painful.

I have an Specialized Saddle that is an International. When I ride...I get Friction rubs on my leg. I was wondering if, I could find a solution from anyone! The stirrup leathers are thick and wide...not slender like an Wentic Dressage saddle-the buckles also cause a problem. What can I do? I have heard that others have had this problem also with the International specialized saddle...any suggestions...anyone? I will take anything and try anything to not have my leg in pain from an Friction Rub!

Thanks,
Sarena
