Re: [RC] saddle rubs - Barbara McCrary

I have an International, too, and I wear half-chaps. No rubs. I do have a problem with the twist, however. It is too narrow for me and it rubs "there." Ouch! I haven't solved this problem yet. Not sure whether a saddle cover would work. Basically, the twist is too narrow and I'm not sure a saddle cover would correct this.

Sarena didn't say in her post, but her rubs are on the shin where the stirrup leathers come down.
I have the same issue, and it can be rather painful.

To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have an Specialized Saddle that is an International. When I ride...I get Friction rubs on my leg. I was wondering if, I could find a solution from anyone! The stirrup leathers are thick and wide...not slender like an Wentic Dressage saddle-the buckles also cause a problem. What can I do? I have heard that others have had this problem also with the International specialized saddle...any suggestions...anyone? I will take anything and try anything to not have my leg in pain from an Friction Rub!

Thanks,
Sarena
