Re: [RC] downside - those orange boots - Lori BertolucciAlso, if they were brand new boots, there is a break in time for them. The boot will loosen up and the cables will stretch a bit I tell all my customers to ride at least 15 miles in them before using them at a ride. In tears she gave up and took them off. The boots where fitted by the owner of Renegade so I doubt fit was an issue.Rusty" But Rusty, I am sure you have found that ANY brand of boot can "fit well", but still come off if they are not adjusted well. I know that many riders, even our boot experts that have thousands of miles riding with hoof boots have a learning curve to get them adjusted well to stay on. I am not a regular hoof boot user, shoot, I put those "evil metal shoes as some cal them" on my horse, but I have read enough on getting boots to stay on to know that even those fitted by the owners of the company (BOTH Easycare and Renegade) can still come off the horse in some conditions, especially if not applied well.
