I don't know what you are pulling your 2-horse trailer with, but instead of sleeping in your dressing area you might save your pennies for a roof-top tent like I have been using for the past 5 years on my SUV that I use to pull my 2-h Brenderup. (That leaves the entire trailer tackroom and inside of the SUV for cargo.) Check out www.autohomeusa.com The distributer is in No. Cal. and they ship it to your door. It's cheaper than a different trailer or tow vehicle.
I have the Columbus model, because when opened, the higher end is 5' tall, and I can kneel or stand to get dressed. The double-bed sized tent (they also have larger models) has been used on top of a VW Bug! So even if you have a truck, you can use it over the truck bed, leaving the underneath as storage.
The tent is mounted on a Thule rack with 4 bolts. I did it myself. The base of the tent is a (very comfy) memory-foam mattress, so set-up only requires popping the fiberglass lid and crawling in with sleeping bag. My down mummy bag keeps me snug in any weather, including snow and rain (Just make sure the side flaps are not tucked inside!)

I want to survive in my little 2-horse bumper pull for as long as I can, but as I am slowly accumulating more and more stuff, I'm realizing that I need to come up with a better organizational system in my rear tack area. Maybe even put something together in my dressing area for rarely used items (I sleep there, so try to keep that as a "clean" and dry area for myself ;-) I thought I could get one of those plastic drawer things they have at BB&B for the rear tack area to give me a little more efficient use of the vertical space (and also keep things off the floor, which I've wanted to do ever since my calm coat oil spilled all over that area, it was a mess, ha ha). Anyone have any "cheap" ideas or things they've done themselves to increase the storage capacity of a small space in their trailers?
