RE: [RC] GPS saddle mounting ideas

I'm also a fan of using a gps when training, and a pommel mount would be ok,
but not great, unless you always need to read your back track <g>.

However, I was notified by Timex that they are in the finishing stages of
creating a GPS WATCH. Yes, a watch with a GPS display that will show miles,
speed, altitude, etc, via a wireless link to a GPS receiver like your
Garmin. The receiver can simply be tucked away in a saddlebag. This is a
great idea that I hope to be testing soon.

Subject: [RC] GPS saddle mounting ideas

I use my GPS (Garmin etrex legend)every time I ride. I can't imagine not
using if after the XP. I'd really like to mount my GPS on the front of my
saddle without doing too much damage to the saddle. I'd also like it to be
relatively safe and easy to take on and off of the "holder". I've seen and
played with several handlebar mounts for bikes and motorcycles. My husband
is an engineer and thinks he and a friend could build something, but I'd
like to know if anyone has any ideas or advice or something they've seen out
there on the market that will work. I wondered if Garrett was working on
anything via Sportack? Share ideas for English, endurance or western type
saddles. Thanks. Cindy Collins
