[RC] Kicking Colt/ Correcting - Jerri Larsen

I have a 2 year old not all the times but sometimes when you un halter him and let him go, say after a walk or something that he is so full of it he kicks as he runs off....
How does one stop this... You are not close enough to him to get him with in the so many second correction mode... I have chased after him and wopped him with the rope, but that can be taken as play.. What is the correct method to nip this. This happened yesterday after the vet had given him his shot......My husband went after him and wopped him with the rope.. still I don't think he is getting the message.

    thanks
    Jerri
