    Speaking of which....
    
    Instead of monkeying around with the finish line time for LD, which IMHO
    doesn't need fixing, would be nice to see AERC create some incentives
    for more rides do ELEVATOR LDs.  Perhaps a discount for the FIRST 50
    attempt? Maybe a certificate? Recognition in a "First Fifty" column in
    EN? (Perhaps a "First 100" would also be worthwhile)  This would
    encourage the riders who are on the edge to spontaneously move up to the
    50 on that "perfect" day when everything is going well. 
    
    Off the top of my head I can think of two riders recently who were
    crewing next to us and doing LD that would have happily tagged along
    with me 'n Sunny and done their first 50 had they been able to elevate.
    
    (There are some rides in the SE who do offer that....)
