Re: [RC] Leg confirmation in High Mileage horses - Truman Prevatt

The great race horse John Henry - won Horse of the Year at 9 (his second one) - didn't have the greatest of front leg conformations. While not a high mileage endurance horse 83 starts and 39 wins is a very impressive record.

Has anyone in ridecamp looked at the legs of many of the high mileage horses and noted the confirmation.

We all know how important is is to have really straight legs. But I have heard that some great horses have had crooked legs. Secretariate was said to be knock kneed, and although he was a thouroughbred I am wondering how the really high mileage horses stand in the leg department.
