I overheard someone at JD's ride say this was only the 3 time in her memory
that the weather wasn't either rainy or hot...cool, windy weather helped 50
milers finish in just over 4 hours (much to my amazement, since I hadn't set
out to win, me & Shiloh were first over the line in 4:07)
The 100's had a tougher go...late afternoon winds and blowing sand must have
been a factor since only 5 of about 20 finished; winner was Steve Rojek.
Yvette Vinton got BC in the 50; big news is that loops were rerouted so none
were longer than 18 miles with all the checks in camp. Us crewless ones
really appreciated that! Thanks again JD!
