Ridecamp: [RC] distance driving

Hi all.  I am putting together an article for Driving Digest Magazine 
on distance driving.  I am aware that ECTRA, UMECTRA and 
SEDRA have all held driving in conjunction with their competitive 
trail rides.  There is even the Nevada Endurance Driving 
Association.  I would love to hear an personal experiences in the 
sport or of any other forms of distance driving.  ECTRA has been 
hosting drives since 1984 and they are both challenging and fun.
