I grew up riding the poor rental horses on the
beach in Half Moon Bay.
We go to Elkhorn Slough to get some "Lawrence of
Arabia" training (pretending to be preparing for an oil sheikh
ride....)
Lari Shea's Ricochet Ridge Ranch has regular beach
rides on her endurance horses on the Mendocino Coast.
There are some people that like to gallop on Ocean
Beach in San Francisco.
There are a lot of places to ride on beaches in California.
