Ridecamp: [RC] saddle question

I looked at my mare's back yesterday and she has a bunch of
white hairs on her back. How long does it take for white hairs to grow
after a poorly fitting saddle has been used? I'm not sure I know that
one. I used to ride her in an English eventing saddle. It didn't seem to
actually cause her pain, but she never seemed entirely comfortable in it.
I"m guessing this is where the problems have come from, but how do I
know?  She seems totally comfortable and moves well in the Bob
Marshall, but how can I be sure it's not the one having the problem.
