[RC] re: portable corrals - AprJhn

A bit more trouble, surely, but my husband and I are planning to use 6 10' light-weight corral panels for a pen for our 2 Arabians when we're camping. Creates an area of approximately 200 sq feet and virtually eliminates any problems associated with trailer tying or temporary electric type fences. My husband just didn't like the idea of such temporary houseing for my wired Arab, especially around other horses.

We have a 2 horse stock trailer. One panel will be used as a divider during travel. The other 5 will be stacked on top and secured with rachet straps (My husband knows how to secure them VERY well so they won't move.)

Obviously more trouble and the 6 panels cost about $275, but we use the panels at home as part of a small holding corral, so they get used other times and they're light-weight and surprisingly easy to move around. Although being so short, I would have trouble loading and unloading the panels off the top of the trailer!! Thank goodness for tall husbands. ;)
