How can one "do" anything relevant with the information unless one collects the information first?  The relevance of it all is to try to understand under what conditions we see increases in lameness, under what conditions we see increases in metabolic problems, and perhaps address how to better recognize those problems and how to prevent them.

We have had pull codes for some time now.
            1.  L - Lameness
                 a.  Due to riding too fast through rocks.
                 b.  Due to rider wanting to win a top ten award.
                 c.  Due to horse being improperly shod.
                 d.  Due to horse flipping up a stick and poking itself in a fetlock.
                 e.  Due to rider overconditioning for ride and showing up with a lame horse whose lameness didn't reveal itself until out on the trail.
                 f.  Due to rider not riding properly, i.e., out of balance, posting improperly, not posting at all, etc.
                 g. Due to wet, slippery conditions and a horse's misstep
                 h. Due to a horse improperly conditioned and overridden.
                 i.  Due to "an accident in the trailer" on the way to a ride.
                 j.  Due to a bad wrap job in the trailer on the way to a ride.
                 k. Due to another, rude horse kicking the horse at the start of a ride.
                 l.  Due to horse being shod in iron.
                m. Due to horse not being shod.
Unless some sort of ACCURATE documentation is used AND RECORDED somewhere...where is the relevance?  Where is the relevance in attempting to "educate" endurance riders out there if the same mistakes, by the same riders are made time and time again WITH NO SANCTIONING BY THE PARENT ORGANIZATION?
