Re: [RC] Accident on way to Oroville, best way to trailer a horse - Laurie Durgin

We read up on trailers and got lots of good tips. My husband checked hauling weight, tongue weight. Max. hauling etc. We  got a truck that can safely haul what we have and to spare. My husbands says , it's not what you can pull that's important, it's if you can stop it. We make sure our brakes are working on truck and trailer. We have trailer tires not passenger tires on our trailer .The trailer tires have thicker sidewalls. We have a steel trailer, (featherlite, econlolite) because our daughter thinks they are safer than aluminum. She  heard too many stories of alum.  trailers  ripping open like butter, and saw doors and dividers destroyed by "daily living"  with her trainers trailers. So she made us buy steel.
