The Lake Oroville Vista Endurance Ride (LOVER) was
held this Saturday on November 2nd. Kathy Papa, ride manager and the
Mounted Assistance Unit of the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area put on this
ride. It was well organized with ample ribbons, signs and smiling
volunteers to guide horse and rider through the trails. The weather at the
start was chilly but soon warmed to a beautiful sunny afternoon. The vet
checks were incredible; smooth running, efficient and thorough...and an
added plus, lots of food for the riders and hay for the horses.
Ride management listened to riders' comments from
last year and made some great trail changes. This ride is fun, challenging
and offers horses and riders an enjoyable and satisfying endurance
experience. Add it to your ride list!
