[RC] New rescue group in South Louisiana- sorry if off topic! - Debra Reid

I am sending this to ride camp to reach members who live in Louisiana and surrounding areas and of course those of you who would like to know about us. There is a definite need here {everywhere actually} to help these animals and educate people on proper care and upkeep.
Any tips and other info would be a big help for me as I am currently responsible for getting our newsletter "Hoofbeats" going. I plan on researching ridecamp's archives for our Tips and How tos section!! Ya'll are a great bunch of people with LOTs of info! Please forgive me if this post is off topic as this project is very near and dear to me.

I hope that you could get the word out to people  that there is a new rescue group that has formed in Louisiana. Hooved Animal Rescue & Placement Inc. otherwise known as HARP is a non profit organization that assists in finding abused, neglected and abandoned horses new homes. We also take in other unwanted "hooved" animals and find needed homes for them. People who have older retired horses or horses that they can not place are welcome to email us for assistance in finding their beloved animals screened retirement homes. We also encourage all people to report suspected abuse in their area to the proper authorities. We are mainly based in Tangipahoa parish of Louisiana but will try to assist those in need anywhere in Louisiana if possible and will help with our contact list to provide others needed information.  The more members we have the more areas we can help in. We function entirely on volunteers and always need help.
All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated! With a membership you will receive a quarterly newsletter "Hoof beats" giving updated information on rescues, swap and exchange listings, upcoming events and articles submitted by our members. We also have Kids & Critter corner that people can tell how proud they are of the next generation and their accomplishments. Just to name a few things there will be many neat tips and facts in this news letter.  Associations and other groups that recognize us will be featured in our news letter also!!!
All members/donors will be recognized in our newsletter {unless they specify not to} and Sponsoring/business members will have a place for sales, and upcoming events of their own. Other information they want sent out can be arranged.
Memberships are as follows per year:
    student/associate $15.00 non-voting
    regular individuals  $25.00
    business $50.00
    Sponsoring members $300.00
Please email knevermore@xxxxxxx for the form, a web site will be under construction soon and these forms will then be available there, along with other great stuff! Donations can be sent to the snail mail address below.
If you could help us get the word out to your members and/or other groups, I would greatly appreciate your assistance for a worthy cause. Please email me with any questions and feel free to forward this email.

    Sincerely,
    Debra Reid
