I am so proud of a little horse
I own.... yesterday she went into training for the local handicapped
program. This little arab mare came to me when she was 2 and in the
past 3 years had not really developed into a horse to be used for
endurance. I had started and ridden her only lightly but had done a lot of
groundwork with her. I had heard that the local program was in need of a
couple of younger small horses as several of theirs are getting up in years and
having some back/lameness issues and need to be retired. So they came out
and did an evaluation on my little girl and found her to be what they were
needing. I think it's great for them and great for the horse... she is
really wanting to have a job. But.. if it shouldn't work out they're going
to call me and I'll bring her back home. Several of my friends and
clients volunteer with the program so I'm sure I'll get updates.
