Re: [RC] Davenport Dare - Zephyr Arabians
I had a GREAT time. Had a bit of a runaway at the
start, drank well on the trail (except the last water
stop), got all As and A-s at the vet check, finished
the LD in 4 hours, and got an overall A- at the final
check (with the comments that she was ready to go
another 25 miles and looked fabulous especially as it
was only her second ride). I was SO proud of my
little girl! And she was FABULOUS during the second
half -- going strong and really enjoying herself.
My husband had somewhere he had to be Saturday
evening, so we had to leave before the awards. But,
as he was nice enough to come along and crew for me
(his first time), I sure wasn't going to complain.
My girl needs more experience to get over her herd
bound issues in camp and on the trail, but she's
really coming along well. I can't wait to start doing
50s with her (and I say this while my calves are still
hurting from 25 miles, I must be crazy).
