Actually I thought this discussion was more productive
than ones we have had in the past and I actually see people agreeing to
disagree. It sparks many private e-mails to myself with questions about
trimming and shoeing (opportunity to educate) and I am sure some of the barefoot
advocates get a few wanting more information as well. :) I think
that's a good thing.
How about a "My horse is faster than your horse"
thread? :) Our team penning association wanted to give out an award
for "fastest horse" at their awards this year....ask 5 people what they think
and you get 5 different answers! :) I told them, of course, that MY
horse is the fastest AND I can document it (50 miles in under 5 hours at Grand
Island this year). They decided that one was too hard to figure out and
are sticking with "the bucking horse award", "oldest rider", "youngest rider",
etc. kind of awards. :)
