    First your mom has to send a letter to the AERC and request that you be allowed to ride unsponsored.  You should send a list of the rides that make up your 500 miles for them to check.  Then the AERC will send you a letter that you must present to the ride management.  I would suggest that you make a copy and send it in with your entry.  Always carry it with you to rides, just in case.  Make a bunch of copies.  Also you should know that the ride is not obligated to let you ride unsponsored.  We do at our rides but some might not.  For example, Tevis would not.

    You do have to pay the senior entry because you will not be riding as a junior.....
