No on a 100 it seems to be a 65 mile slump. At 80, the heart starts pumping you're 80% finished.

That is a great story....and one I understand completely! :o) About 40 miles into just about every ride I've done, I start to think "What the hell am I doing this for? I love trail riding....I'll just go back to doing that. Nice. Easy. Relaxing. Fun." Then, about 10 miles and 100 hours later, I cross the finish line feeling like Solitaire and I have just won the Kentucky Derby! All the negativity vanishes and I am on top of the world - so proud of my Solitaire and all the hard work, conditioning and ride prep we have done together. I get home and start planning the next one. LOL This sport is truly insane. I love it. I've just gotta get over that 40 mile slump....any suggestions? I know the "Do a 100" suggestion, and that'll happen as soon as my "girlfriend" and I have over 250 miles in 50's. Just think I'll experience an 80 mile slump then! Help? :o)
