I took my gelding to Davis for sarcoid surgery and they found a bunch of those lumps and it turned out to be cancer.  At the very least, I would have my vet check them out because they are probably nothing.

I just recently had a blood panel and fecal sample done on one of my horses [who is on a good worming program] and it turns out that he has a worm problem.  

Calling your vet for an opinion is usually the cheapest option in the long run.
