Barbara, I am also interested in the bitless bridle.
My mare learned very quickly to brace against
the leather nose piece on the mechanical hackamore
so she could go faster and keep up with riding buddies.
She doesen't put her nose in the air, but does tuck it
almost to her chest.I switched her to the Linda
Tellington Jones training bit, but she cannot eat
or drink very well in it. I'm most concerned about
the start of a ride with the bitless bridle.
Can a horse who wants to keep up with the pack
be controlled with the bitless bridle? And can they be
controlled with the sidepull halter of Pat Fredrickson's?
