[RC] Stirrup Cage - Rides 2 Far

    > Anybody know what the difference is for aluminum vs. nylon?

I have a set of the older E-Z ride Aluminum, and a set of newer E-Z ride
aluminum. The older ones are wider and I like them better. Word is that
the nylon are the width of the old ones so I'll probably buy them next.
I have cages on both sets. My first set of cages got broken hitting
trees and such but the latest sets have had no problems at all. New
    materials I think.

One other thing about the aluminum. Mine have brushed against my 1/2
chaps so many miles that it has polished what was once about a 1/8"
squared off aluminum edge to a perfect knife edge. You could literally
peel an apple with them. (never know when you might need to peel an apple
and the hoof knife is dirty) I keep meaning to take a rasp to them and
take off that edge since I'm afraid if he falls on me it'll cut my leg
off...but it's so fun to show people signs that I ride a lot..."Look
here, see the indentations of my seat bones on the seat of my saddle?
See the hole in the flap my leg has worn through? See the razor edge on
    my stirrups? >g<
