    Sounds like you have your stirrups too far behind you. Its hard to find a saddle with the stirrup placement exactly where you need it to be. Its like the stirrups are either too far forward and you can't get comfortable going uphill or they are too far back and you feel like you're going to fall off the front of the horse on the downhills. I bought my SS used so I don't know if the stirrups are set back or not. Its an endurance model so the stirrups are fairly centered and its perfect for me.
