Ridecamp: [RC] [Guest] Strangles!

I just wanted to post this information regarding anyone who had their horses
at the Sierra Valley Ride a few weeks ago.  exactly 2 weeks after the ride
the two horses that we had taken to this ride came down with High fevers 105
degrees and snotty noses.  I took them right away to the vets and under
examination noticed that one of the horses had a swollen gland under their
throatlatch.  The vet aspirated puss like drainage and sent out to be
cultured.  While awaiting the results I had contacted a numberous friends
that where also at that ride.  All their horses where also sick!  Almost
everyone that I have talken with said that there horses where getting sick.
The results came back postive for Strangles.  If you know anyone who went to
