    I was looking through the August 2002 issue of Equine Journal and in their
    "breed profile" section (starting on page 88).  On page 92 they cover "The
    Percheron".  The interesting part is
    
    " A third theory is that the Percheron breed is the heir of Abd el Rahman's
    Arab stallions.  ...
    ....  The Percheron, influenced strongly by the Arab, is often referred to
    as an Arab, one shaped by the demand for size and strength over the
    centuries."
    
    I can't really compare them, my Percheron doesn't look anything like the
    Arabs I see in the field, but I just found the above interesting and
    wondered if the horse being sold isn't really a thin Percheron.
