You obviously know the ride secretary for this year and this is why she's in
charge of dealing with this guy and not me! Everyone has their skill set,
you know and it's important to recognize when certain things must be left to
people more suited to the task. >g<
"Making nice" is also why we plan to go around to all of the houses near the
trail in the weeks before the event. I figure if they see our smiling,
sincere faces, they will be less likely to sabotage the trail markings. It's
worth a try.
And, yes, we will be inviting them to the horse camp, especially for the
Saturday night trail improvement fund-raising meal! Since they seem SO
concerned about the trail, you see....

Tell the guy you truly appreciate his efforts, and would LIKE him to take
down ALL the ribbons for you Saturday night, and that he can come get a
dinner at the awards ceremony as payment. Sometimes making a person part
of the situation can help prevent them from being a problem for the
situation.
