Ridecamp: Re: [RC] WEG shake down!

I've been to Spain twice (my younger brother lives there), and I must say
that all the Spanish people I've met or been around have been incredibly
friendly and very kind.  I've been in crowds at night in Valencia and
Barcelona, and I was never concerned about being mugged or otherwise
accosted.  What happened to Jeannie, Cia and Bob is not representative of
Spaniards.  Compared to the kind of crime we have in the U.S., Spain is a
very safe place.  I'm sure, though, that all the horsepeople gathering for
the WEG have attracted the attention of some very 'sharp' characters.
