Re: [RC] Carolyn Garrett - Truman Prevatt

Well the first thing Carolyn did when she got upstairs was look up Lawton and chew him out because he hadn't organized any rides. They go over an look at some of the great endurance horses of the past grazing on lush green pasture and go ask the big guy if it would be okay to ride them. He said yes. Well after a day or so they went back and said "well this is fun but how about we challenge the other guys to an endurance ride." The big guy said that was okay buy him but they needed to talk to the other guy.

So Lawton and Carolyn were beamed down. They saw a bunch of skinny down right mean horses on this rock pile. They asked the Devil about an and endurance ride. He said he'd love to field a team. Lawton looking over at his horses and being the fair man he was told old Lucifer it would not be fair. Carolyn kicked him in the shin and told he to keep quite since she smelled a win!

The Devil asked, "how so." Lawton told him that their horses were some of the best ever and they were living in the best condition one could vision and his horses were skinny and living on a rock pile. There would be no way his horses could keep up with their. The Devil said, "You forgot one very important fact." Carolyn a bit puzzeled by now and still smelling a win, said "how so." The Devil chuckled and said "we've got all the ride vets down her."

So I don't know how the race will come out but can be sure of one thing, Carolyn Garrett will be up front, having a ball and loving every minute of it. We will sure miss her.

My friend and loyal crew Gabe Buckler on hearing the news said:

"Ya gotta wonder if she and Lawton Johnson might be
heading up some new "rides" wherever they are!"

Sad news for Southeast riders. Carolyn Garrett passed away today at noon
after an extended illness. Carolyn was a familiar face at the Southeast
rides and was well known for her fierce competitiveness. She had many
friends here in Georgia and will be missed. Our sympathy goes out to her
    son Todd.
