Ridecamp: [RC] Long X ride

 Last weekend I did the Long X ride up in North Dakota.
 The term used by the riders all day long was WOW.
 This is one terrific trail.  NO rocks, plenty of up and down,
 nice camping sites and a great crew that put on the ride.
 It reminded me of the old time endurance rides from
 years gone by.  Only 12 riders participated in the 50 miler.
 This was my young stallions first 50 so we took it easy with
 a ride time around 6 1/2 hours.  The best part was he had
 the opportunity to ride with 4 mares all day long.  Two of
 which were in heat.  At the last water tank, Mose had his
 head down in the water drinking right beside the mares.
 What a great guy.  He gave me a good ride all day long,
 which made it even better for me to enjoy the scenery.  If
 you all want a break from the summer heat, a ride that is
 truly scenic and one that is fun to go to, the Long X is it.
 BTW pack plenty of beer.  They know how to put the stuff
 away up there.  Beer plus T-Bone stakes range feed from
 North Dakota. Hated to head back to the Ohio Valley.
