Ridecamp: [RC] Mane care

Maybe I should have included a bit more information...

I *already* use gobs of Cowboy Magic and/or ShowSheen.  I've even tried baby 
oil and a calgon mixture (1 cup calgon bath oil beads in a qt sprayer, 
topped up with water).

With work I can untwist the dreadlocks, but can't *keep* them untwisted.

What prompted me to send the first message was the fact that Tuesday night, 
I spent 45+ minutes getting the ringlets untwisted, untangled and uncurled, 
used a good 1/4 bottle of Showsheen.  Finely got the mane flat, kept adding 
more showsheen and brushing, made sure *every* hair coated. Showring 
perfect!  The the stupid horse got mad at the fussing and shook his head 
violently for a minute or so, and lo and behold the mane starts curling back 
into ringlets!  Like it's naturally curly or something.
