Re: [RC] A question/ training husbands - Becky Hackworth

When I started riding (again) it began as 4H Mom's needing "time out"  4 of us would go on "Mommy rides"   And yes, as Angie suggested, I came back in such a good mood!

Some of my kids ride with me, some crew for me, some play football, some prefer QH and arena stuff (Rodeo).  Ok, but leave me my Endurance.  My husband has come to one ride in 8 years.  Oh well.  He just doesn't do dirt.   Oh well.

    Married 30 years this October
    5 kids and 11 horses.....
    working 2 full time jobs
and I am still finding time to ride
just not as much as I want to....

You find time for what is important.  Set your priorities.  Pay a real babysitter if you have to.  Trade for it if you can't afford it.  YOUR SANITY IS WORTH IT!

For a bottom line, this one is pretty perfect!   The entire post, if taken to heart by most married women with children who are trying to fit distance riding into their lives, would make the perfect blueprint.

    Well said! :)
