    Well, I've found a way to make that work here too.  My guys have seasons tickets to some kind of race car thing (I need to be better, at least they know what AERC and NATRC are!).  Anyway it may be NASCAR or somesuch.  We all look at the schedules when ride season starts up (March for me) and try to coordinate weekends so the boys go to car races and I go to my horse things it works really well.  But since the boys were very small Doug viewed his time with just them as very special. 

    I do think a dad who views being with his kids as "babysitting" is missing out on a whole bunch of really good stuff.

    I didn't mean to post the initial post to all of RC -- not really endurance related. I like how you managed to make it related :)
