Well, I'm in an area where it is not here yet. But, it is only one state
away. Where I live, we have alot of mosquitos!
I called my local vet and he said to just wait til next year. I then called
a big equine only clinic in Salt Lake City (about 30 miles away from me) and
they said that they highly suggest people vaccinate now since it is in
Colorado.
I'm always looking for a way to save money BUT, this is cheap insurance
compared to a dead horse.
I went out and got mine yesterday and vaccinated all three of our horses and
will give them their booster in three weeks.
My feeling on it is if it's anywhere near you - why not just be safe than
sorry.
Do you think they will start adding this vaccine to the other vaccines or
will it continue to be sold separately?
And is it going to just be a yearly vaccination in the spring?
