    We recently had a donkey in the hospital that had gotten into enough grain
    to founder badly, and had to be euthanized.  Someone on rotations with me
    had mentioned there was also a mule that had foundered the year before,
    though he recovered.  I don't know what initially caused the laminitis with
    the mule.
