Ridecamp: Re: [RC] kids stirrups

David and I found a pair of used Western safety stirrups in a tack shop.
They are sturdy plastic, but where the rubber band would be on a peacock
iron, there is a spring-loaded thingy that releases if you fall.

David has big feet and kept getting caught in regular western stirrups when
dismounting (intentionally or otherwise), so he was very happy to find these
stirrups. I don't know who makes them or where to get them or if they make
kid sizes, but they are great. Just a little odd-looking.
