[RC] This bears repeating - Dbeverly4

Wow, I've been on vacation and was just kind of perusing the archives when I came across Annie's post.  To be honest, I think what Annie is talking about is exactly WHY Ridecamp has redeeming features beyond being merely a gossip forum (and the entertainment value of course).  Let's take a moment to think about some of the recent threads on RC --- starts (or better yet, WHAT IS A START), NC rides, cheaters, bullies (ok, maybe that was just Potato, but you get the drift) etc.  Isn't this a great forum to discuss all this?  Let's not stop!!!

<<I am very sorry that you feel this discussion is unproductive. I think the honest search for the truth, for the future integrity of our sport is EXTREMELY productive. We, the  paying members, have a responsibility, and the rite to expect things of questionable circumstance to reach the FULL light of day. Regardless of who is involved. Yes we all get tired of the BS, "I just wanna go ride my horse"  is how most of us feel, but it is how we get into these messes. Ostriches don't really avoid the fall out, eventually it will smack you in the face. We ALL need to pay better attention to what is going on, and speak up when it smells!  Annie G. >>

Its pretty funny because I don't think Annie agreed with my original stand regarding the "what constitutes a start" thing.  But I sure as Hell agree with what she said above.

Anyway, I'm baaaaaack from vacation <g>
