It was late '94 I think. You put out a post on the new group rec.equesterian if anyone would be interested. It sure was a lot more open and less accusatory in those days.

It's good to see that since the horses mow the lawn and the dogs do the dishes John found something to occupy your time?

    Thanks Steph fro the memories.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you remember when this list first
started - and it was 'endurance@xxxxxxxxxx' ? I still have the pins Nick
Warhol made with that on them. I think there were 25 on the list when it was
first born. In late 1994 ? John had just started an Internet company in
Moscow, Idaho and was trying to get me involved in the business so he
suggested I start an endurance website and email list (he's no dummy).

I guess the accusations of censorship are making me nostalgic for the 'good
    old days' :)

For those of you who are 'hanging in there' with Ridecamp - thanks. There
really is a fine line between open discussion and dirty rotten dog
accusations. And I'm not always paying attention (I like to ride sometimes).
And I have bad days too. So - my apologies to any of you who feel you've
been snubbed. I'm always open to private email - if you have a real problem,
a real concern, let me know. We can probably figure out a way to get your
concerns aired. I really don't like to tell others what to do - or not do.
But I've learned over the years that if I don't get involved, and let things
get out of hand, I lose people from the list whose participation adds
quality and value to the discussions. They get fed up and go away.

When in doubt, read Angie's Ridecamp Oath.

    Steph
