    Anyway, I have always thought that riding bareback is painful for the horse, that is, a horse without good muscling on his back.  Do your bum bones not dig into the horse's back and cause very small points of contact, almost like using thin rods to poke him in the back?
    
    And you're right about the contraceptive, BTW!
