I am so excited i have to shout it out to the world... i just
got off the phone w/ Calli Thornburg the daughter of Bill who our Family Award
at AERC is named after. How many of you know who he is or what he has done
to this sport and the story of his life and his death? Not too many i
think and i didn't either. But Calli and her sister Tracey who was the
1979 National Champion i believe are sending photos and their story for the
calendar. An ad agency from N.C. that happens to be endurance riders are
going to do the artwork and put it all together. The AERC Trails will
benefit from this endeavor and it has surpassed any original intent i ever
had. We want more photos and stories as its also meant to be a keepsake
and historical aspect of AERC. Please send hard copy and your story, trail
tips etc....to : PO Box 169 Luray, Va. 22835. we are even having a page
devoted to LD. tom sites who wants your best shots (all photos will
be returned and we are going to press in Sept.)
