I was told "combativeness" was a symptom of concussion. A couple months ago I
fell off my horse and slammed backwards onto my head. Was wearing a helmet.
    Dented it.

Anyway last thing I remember was cantering up hill...my horse slightly
spooking, I lost my balance and then he just jumped right out from under me.

I vaguely remember my friend telling me she was going to slug me if I didn't
stop fighting. (She was holding me down, afraid I had hurt my back bad since
I slammed so hard and was out cold. Said I kept saying..."where's my horse?
    what happened?"

Next thing I remember was the paramedics tell me they would chemically
paralyze me if I didn't hold still (they strapped me to a board!) I told one
of the firemen I loved him...have no idea why.

Took me to the trauma unit. I started shaking real bad and couldn't
stop...they told me not to try and stop it was normal...the adrenaline dump
your body does causes some strange reactions.

You know I think I already wrote about this on this list...must be the
    concussion :-p~~

BTW first runaway fall was off my first horse...a gymkhana pony named GoGo I
had as a teen. I thought he would look better in a snaffle so traded his
shank for one. Got on and WOW he bolted...weehee he was free. Headed straight
for the only tree in the field, like he knew I would bail...he was sorta
playing chicken. I ducked the branch, he swerved and I fell into a pile of
sharp rocks, broke a rib. An old cowboy type drove up in a pickup and said
"that looked like it hurt" and I told him it did. Climbed in the truck to go
chase my pony, who ran home. Cowboy had an open bottle of whiskey and gave me
    a swig...he said "you'll need it"... and i did.

Never rode GoGo with that snaffle again.
