    As an RM, I put down the rider's name the way they put it on the entry
    blank.  If a DVM wants to be listed as a DVM and enters that way, so be
    it. That said, I think the previous poster (was it Lif?) was correct that
    when AERC plugs in a membership number, the name comes up in the results
    however that person put their name down for membership purposes.  Most
    DVMs indicate that they are DVMs when they join AERC, since AERC has
    annual continuing education programs for veterinarians as well as special
    mailings pertaining to ride vetting, etc.  As a DVM, I also like to see
    that other DVMs are out there riding, and as an RM, I like to have the
    choice of hiring DVMs who also are involved enough in the sport to ride
    from time to time....
