I am not sure why you need the ride cards for completion.  When I get entries, I check to make sure the info is all on it, especially, paid, signed, AERC numbers and weight divisions.  If not, I make a notation on the rider packet and they provide it at check in.

I do my results ALWAYS from the rider's entry.  That way if there are any mistakes, they made them.  You would be surprised how many people enter their horse with the name wrong or the wrong number.....
