Ridecamp: [RC] One reason why rides may take a while to appear on-line

I've had a number of questions lately about why a ride 
result might not be on-line though the ride was up to 4 
months ago.

One common reason is that often the fees are not paid for 
riders who told the ride managers they belonged to the AERC 
but actually do not.

The situation is usually:

1.  Rider says they are a member and gives a bad AERC # or 
has not paid their dues for this year.

2.  Ride manager does not charge the $10 day fee for a 
non-member because they accept the persons word.

3.  When results are sent in - the AERC office discovers the 
person is either not a member or dues are not paid.

4.  The office then notifies the RM that a fee of $10 is due 
for this rider.

5.  Results are not published in EN or on-line until the RM 
pays the fee.

Also - if the office has not received the ride results from 
the manager within 30 days after the ride - there is a late 
penalty that has to be paid before the results will be posted.

Some rides now require you to pay the $10 fee if you cannot 
show your arec card at the ride.

There are 5 rides from May not yet posted and 11 from June.

Rides should normally appear on-line within about 6 weeks 
after the ride.

If the ride you are interested in isn't on-line - your first 
point of contact for a reason why should be the ride manager.
