[RC] Riding Clothes - Joan Dowis

I used to get very sore knees from the stirrup leather on my English saddle.
    These things all helped:

Fuzzy stirrup leather covers - or saddle covers, whichever is appropriate.

Cut the toes out of men's crew socks (the kind without heels) and pull over
my knees under my riding tights

On long rides (Tevis), pull-on elastic bandages over my knees with some kind
of padding stuffed in at the inside point where the knee meets the saddle.
Woolback scrap works great. Pull on over the crew socks. This works better
for me than padded tights because it stays in place better.

My knees are poorly padded by nature, and these have definitely worked for
    me.
