[RC] checking in before the ride - Ridecamp Guest

I have tried to look for this in the archives but have had no luck.
Here's my Q.
What are the pros and cons of checking-in in the morning before the ride. Is it considered impolite or rude or inconvenient for RM and the vets?Is it bad for the horse?
I am new to the sport and have not found a buddy to go with and I end up camping alone the previous night. I only go to rides within 1 to 2 hours from home.So I can get to the ride early enough to check-in and saddle up and warm up.
