    I've soaked my hands in diluted bleach on more than one occasion to get deep-seated stains out, and it also leaves one's skin really soft and pliable.  I've known many people who've used it to soften calluses so that they can be more easily pared down.
     
    BTW, I'd put a lot of things both on my own body and on my horse that I wouldn't put in my eyes....

    Everything should be done using some common sense. I would not soak my limbs, skin or feet in bleach. But it is okay to put on Poisen Oak as a wipe on straight. Gads!! what fool would think to SOAK  in it? C'mon.........
